'Aina Jhyalko Putali' has been chosen to participate in the 95th Academy Awards (Oscar Awards) to be announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Nepal's International Feature Film Selection Committee has selected this film from among the three films received to be a competitor. The committee chose this film from Dinesh Raut's 'Prakash' and Suvarna Thapa's 'Radha'.
The above three films were received by this committee and they are high-quality creations that meet all the criteria of the Academy, in terms of the technical aspects, the presentation aspect of the story, the emotional analysis aspect of the characters, and the artistic quality of the presentation, etc. This press release has been issued for everyone's information as the film selection committee has selected Aina Jhyal ko Putali,'' the statement issued by the committee states.
Directed by Sujith Bidari, this film shows the relationship between two sisters. The critically acclaimed film stars child actors Kanchan (Lakshmi) Chimaira, Dinesh Khatri, Vishal Chamling Rai, Umesh Shrestha, and Raj Thapa. Similarly, old actors Siru Bista, and Padamprasad Paudel can also be seen acting in the film.
Director Bidari won the best director award at the '20th International Dhaka Film Festival for this film. This film was selected in the New Current section of Busan. The film's story was written by director Bidari himself after the 2072 earthquake.
